Close to home...

It's sometimes the case that, as a photographer, you feel the need to travel to new locations to get the best shots. It can be hard to keep creating something that is, or at least looks, new and fresh out of the same, local scenes you're used to taking. And let's face it, there's lots of stunning scenery in this country, let alone the rest of the world, to explore.

But it's not always the case that local doesn't produce.

This is the river Humber at sunset on Wednesday, 1 February 2017. It's 2 miles from my house.

Sometimes, what you're looking for can be closer to home than you think.
