North Yorkshire Moors #3...

It's amazing what little gems of scenery can be found off the beaten track. Down a steep, winding road into a little valley, I came upon this lovely scene. Of course, nothing is ever quite that simple, for me, at least

Parking the car on a single track road so as not to block it was the first thing. Then, traverse a steep, muddy, slippery bank to get down to the stream whilst carrying bags and tripod, and find a good vantage point to get the right shots without falling in the water.

Great. All setup and ready to shoot. But wait, isn't that my car I can see at the top of the frame? Doh! Wonderful. OK - make sure the camera is stable, climb back up the muddy bank, move the car, clamber back down...

You get the picture. Or rather, that's what (sometimes, at least) goes into getting the picture.
