North Yorkshire Moors...

On what turned out to be a very foggy day, I travelled to the North Yorkshire Moors to take some landscape shots. As I drove along a single track road, I spotted a tree that looked like it might make for a good image, but, as I stepped from the car, the sound of running water could be heard in an otherwise silent landscape and drew me from the road, across the fields to this stream, winding its way down the small valley.

Although winter colours are muted, and the fog didn't help much on the day either, I like the contrast between the deep orange and brown of the winter heather and the greens and yellows of the moorland grasses.

More images from this trip to follow, so stay tuned.
