Summer breeze, makes me feel fine....

It seems hardly believable that this image was taken only eight weeks ago at 7pm in the evening. With the golden wheat being gently swayed by the warm breeze, the green valley below leading to the farm and the ripening fields rolling into the distance, if there is anything that can be described as a typical English summers' evening scene, this could be one of them. Looking at it now, it seems an age away from the colder, dark nights of late October.

So often we take the long, warm summer nights for granted, and yet they seem to be gone so soon. The wheat has long been harvested. The fields are now plowed and have been re-seeded, ready for the next crop. And so the cycle continues.

And then we wait for those long, summer nights to return...
